Who
can apply for IMechE Membership as an Associate Member (AMIMechE):
As told at the beginning, if you are a
graduate with an undergraduate degree in science, technology, engineering, or
mathematics (STEM) subject, then you are eligible for the AMIMechE status. You
must have one of the following:
1. A
US-recognized undergraduate degree
2. UK
undergraduate engineering degree
3. UK
undergraduate maths, physics, or another related science degree
4. International
engineering degree that fulfills IMechE’s academic requirements
5. Open
University undergraduate degree or approved profile
Unfortunately, the qualifications that are
not equal to a British bachelor’s degree (Level 6) or higher (like HNCs, HNDs,
and Foundation degrees) don’t meet the academic criteria for being an Associate
Member.
Graduate
student affiliates:
For a Student Affiliate Member outside of
the United Kingdom who graduated in 2021, the application fee to become an
Associate Member is waived until the 31st of December 2021 for a UK
Member and 28 February 2022 for an International Member.
