You can apply for an Isle of Man Innovator visa if:

1.   You have a desire to establish or run a business in the Isle of Man.

2.   You fulfill the other eligibility requirements.

3.   Your business or business idea has been endorsed by the Department for Enterprise of the Isle of Man Government.

4.   The Department for Enterprise of the Isle of Man Government has endorsed your business or business idea.

5.   You have a minimum of £50,000 in your investment funds if you have a desire to establish a new business. You are not required to have funds if your business is already set or has been endorsed for an earlier visa.

In how much time you will get the visa?

The earliest time is three months before you travel. Let’s take an example to clarify this point:

You can apply from the 6^th of April if planning to travel on the 5^th of July.

You must get a decision on your visa within 6 weeks when applying from outside the Isle of Man and the UK. It takes into account the time required for UKVI to do their processes and checks and after that, refer the application to the Isle of Man Immigration Service for decision and, after that, for UKVI to return the travel document with the vignette.

You can stay for 3 years provided that you:

Come to the Isle of Man on an Innovator visa

Move to this visa from another permitted visa

You can apply to extend for the next 3 years when your visa is due to expire. There is not any limit on the number of times you can extend.

You may apply for settlement (known as ‘indefinite leave to remain) once you have been in this place for 3 years.

English language competency for Isle of Man Innovator visa:

You may be required to prove your English language competency as one of the Innovator visa requirements when applying.

You can prove your English knowledge by either:

·        Passing a recognized English language test with a minimum of CEFR level B2 in writing, reading, speaking, and listening

·        Possessing an academic qualification that was taught to you in English and is accepted by UK NARIC as being equivalent to a UK bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or Ph.D.

You are not required to prove your English competency if having already proved it to be level B2 or above in an earlier successful application.
