PEO’s Engineering Intern (EIT) Program:

PEO’s Engineering Intern (EIT) Program is helpful and guiding for engineering graduates, as they earn 48 months of acceptable engineering work experience. It includes annual reviews of experience to make sure that a candidate is ‘on the right path to attain a license. The following are the benefits of the EIT program:

How to enroll in Professional Engineers Ontario EIT program:

For enrollment in the EIT program, you need to be an applicant for licensure, which means you have fulfilled the academic requirements of licensure (for example, graduated from a CEAB-recognized program). You can apply for licensure and enroll in the program right after graduating by filling up the Application for Licence and checking the appropriate box in the EIT program section of the application form.

From May 1, 2019, if applying for a license within six months of graduation, PEO will credit your license application fee and the cost of your 1st year’s membership in the EIT program (if you enroll) towards the payment of your registration and initial P.Eng. license feels after you have been approved for a license. Keep in mind: Changes to the Engineering Intern Financial Credit Program (FCB) came into operation on May 1, 2019. From this date, capable participants will have the cost of their application fee and first year of enrolment in the program (you should have chosen to enroll) credited towards payment of their registration and initial P.Eng. license fees after getting a positive assessment for a license. Before May 1, 2019, capable applicants had their application feel, and the first year of enrollment in the PEO EIT program was immediately waived.
