Engineers Australia EngExec Fees

The credential of EngExec, the Engineering Executive, recognizes pre-eminent individuals who are working in executive positions and have shown exceptional leadership and talent.

After an outstanding career that has culminated in a senior leadership position, attaining this title is the next step in your career.

The title of EngExec is not restricted to engineering professionals, and it can include senior business leaders working in the engineering sector but who are not engineers.

Attaining this credential will also provide you with an opportunity to play a major role in shaping the future of the Australian engineering profession.

The exclusive nature of this title means that the opportunity to apply for it is only given to selected individuals on an invitation-only basis.

Eligibility criteria:

If you are an eligible applicant, you will get a detailed invitation letter explaining how to apply for this title.

You are not required to be a member of Engineers Australia for an invitation to apply for EngExec. However, if you are not already a member, you have to join as a member of Engineers Australia during the application process.

As per the eligibility criteria, you need to have 15 or more years of industry experience and be in a senior management and leadership role. In addition, you must be able to demonstrate the necessary leadership and management competencies for this title and complete a self-assessment if you have been invited to apply.

If you find that you satisfy the criteria for EngExec but have not got an invitation, email Engineers Australia to express your desire for applying.

Professional interview:

Your last to attain an EngExec credential is a professional interview that will be conducted by an Engineers Australia assessor.

The authority will reach you to fix a time to take your interview with one of its assessors, and you will get an invitation to the online Teams or Skype interview.

The interview will last nearly one hour and will include a wide discussion about your engineering career and your responses to the questions in the self-assessment form.

The result of the application:

You will get a confirmation email from Engineers Australia after your interview, which will let you know the outcome of your EngExec application. The evaluator may also tell you the result of your application when your interview ends.

Post-nominal letters:

When you have a successful result, you will get the post-nominal of EngExec to use after your name.

If you have not attained the Chartered status from Engineers Australia, you have to get a Chartered credential. Dependent on your occupational category, you will get one of the following post-nominal letters:

·        Chartered Associate (CEngA)

·        Chartered Technologist (CEngT)

·        Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
